The Woolton Village Project
The Dream
A small self-contained garden with an area outside the windows that had been the working area for a recent extension. The client wished for another room outside of their beautiful period home, with an area for entertaining and storage.
Our Insight
The surroundings chose the paving materials as these needed to be sympathetic to the beautiful property, the client had on site a stock of natural sandstone slabs that gave the design a sense of place with its surroundings.
Making The Dream A Reality
A small, raised bed, hardwood benching with storage would enable the client to make full use of the area. The walling was then clad in a complementary stone to create a feeling of unity between the materials. The natural stone paving was laid in a random pattern on a full concrete bed.
The planting was sympathetic to the surroundings using grassed and scented evergreens, complemented with Bulb planting for spring and summer colour. Lighting was incorporated to enable the clients the use of the garden during the evening.
